Tight

Nice job! Kind reminds me of Plug. sounds cool. You should definitely make a DnB song.

p4c responds:

oh but i did! see my submission "escape" [its a little old, and so was this, so i may make some more later.]

i think ppl on newgrounds spend too little time doing actual drumwork when it comes to dnb, i think thats the most fun and cool part of the song when its done well =] (thats why i liked vX2ff4Ji by boomba [won something in the mac7 dnb v. ambient, http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/107186]

Awesome!

Kick ass! That beat is infectious, gets under your skin and stays. It's damn catchy. You did an excellent job. this sounds professional.

p4c responds:

ohhhh noes!! the beat wont go away!! it keeps going and going and wont leave me alone!! (/suicide)

thx for the revs, good to see ppl like it :D

Introducing Awesome!

This reminds me of the golden 16 bit video games of yesteryear, whatever that means.

The-Swain responds:

It's certainly very MIDI, and nothing speaks the language of the 80s quite like it.

This is a demo?!

Beautiful piece of music. If you intend on making music of this quality, then please, never quit. This piece is tight, professional and just in general, well made. It has a solid, catchy melody, wonderful percussion and enough mix-ups to remain constantly engaging. My favorite bit, out of the entire track was actually just a small little touch you had right at the :59 mark, just a little two note embellishment with the noisy square thing. It's the little things like that that make all the difference.

pyroguy-37 responds:

it's fans like you that make me want to continue making music. Unfortunately I have been very busy lately in my social life and other affairs that I have been unable to work on any other songs. Hopefully though I will get a break sometime soon and come back to this. ^^

Awesome!

I like this. Tons of good ideas here, and I love the melody. I'm curious as to how many tracks you used for this, because, despite what previous reviewers might have said, I don't find this to be bland at all. I think there's a lot of good stuff going on in this track musically. I think it has a nice level of depth to it.

pyroguy-37 responds:

haha yeah, it seems a little bland at some parts, but that's what I like about it. it's not super busy. how many tracks? hmm I can't remember i"ll have to open it up and check on it and get back to you sometime soon :P

Good song.

Excellent stuff. Musically, this is clean, neat and well-done. I would comment on the vocals, but I see that it's been addressed a bajillion times already. Your singing is great, all on key, with beautiful harmonizing, and I know from my own musical attempts that recording vocals and getting the EQ and everything perfect is quite difficult.
I like this. It sounds like something I could imagine hearing on the radio, and I think it is a wonderful tribute.
Here's to 5 more years (at least), and hopefully more awesome music.

jnry3 responds:

Thank you! You're still #10, though, I suppose. ^_^

...and thank you for the well-wishing. Hope to have more than just five more years with my baby Kittie. :-D

Alright!

Good stuff. I really like what you did here, especially at the 54 second mark. You might think about expanding this and submitting it to OCRemix.

Jester667 responds:

I've been thinking about moving some of my better mixes to OC Remix...but I don't think my stuff is that good yet...

Headbanger's Heaven!

Good song! Excellent guitar and bass work, and the drums kick, too. I also loved all the little bits in there, like at the minute and a half mark, where everything died out and there was just the sound of a heart beating, that's just plain cool.
Rockin' song.

zer1 responds:

Yeah I like those little bits too, like it was leading to a breaking point ;P, thanks for the review man and have a rockin' night!

Headbanger's Heaven... Hey, that's a great name for it!

Nice stuff!

I like the mix between the orchestral sound and the rock. It works. Awesome song!

EOVotes4Pedro responds:

thanks, eric! yeah, i made it on a sunday night because, well, i had nothing better to do than crank out a song, and im glad its so successful! thanks again!

Excellent.

This is an awesome Halloween song. The intro is just plain creepy. I personally thought this sounded more like Industrial, rather than Heavy Metal, but whatever genre it is, the song works.
Perfect for any horror flash.

soulmasking responds:

Genre? We don't need no stinking Genre!

JK, if I had to classify it I would probably say it falls under industrial metal, but seeing as how there is no industrial metal genre on NG, and most of my music is under heavy metal so I just kinda placed it there (almost ended up in miscellaneous). It does lack the heart pounding solos of the standard metal song; I prefer dark, bass, grinding guitar, with creepy distorted solos. I agree with you, I think it could be tweaked to work in almost any horror flash. The intro is very heavy on the sound effects and kinda has an evil dead feeling to it, as well as any other horror video game/movie you can think of. Thank you very much for your great review, and generous scores!
